The St. Louis Regional Freightway is pleased to release the Madison County Manufacturing and Logistics Industry Overview, which was developed in collaboration with economic development and community development team at Madison County. Located in the northeast portion of the St. Louis metropolitan area, Madison County is one of the largest counties in the St. Louis region in population and land area. With a rich industrial history, the county is a leader in warehousing and logistics activity and a major hub for multimodal freight movement.
This profile is the latest in a series we are developing for the individual counties the Freightway represents. The purpose of the profiles is to highlight key infrastructure investment and significant available development sites in each county and provide a closer look at why it should be on the radar screen, particularly for those in the manufacturing, logistics and distribution sectors who may be seeking a business site location and/or a community where their employees may want to live.
