Leadership at MidAmerica St. Louis Airport in St. Clair County is eyeing the addition of international flights following completion of a $29.1 million project.
Construction began last summer on a new 25,277-square-foot facility, which will allow the airport to process international commercial flights. The facility is to house not only U.S. Customs and Border Protection and a federal inspection station, but also a general aviation facility, which caters to the needs of non-commercial aviation.
